We present Turbo Pure 48h Yeast of 1 kg, ideal for the fermentation of mash and alcohol base, but not recommended for fruit brandy.
With a maximum dose of 5.4 grams of yeast per liter (0.7 oz./gallon), this yeast is capable of easily producing an alcohol content of up to 18%, and if glucose is used, it can even reach 20%. %, as long as the liquid temperature is maintained between 20 and 25 °C during fermentation.
Below, we present the instructions to use this yeast in a quantity of 25 liters:
1. Dissolve 6-8 kg (13-17 lbs) of sugar in 8 liters (2 US gallons) of hot water. Make sure the sugar has completely dissolved before continuing.
2. Fill the rest of the container to 25 liters (6.6 US gallons) with cold water.
3. Make sure the temperature of the liquid is below 39°C (102°F) and then add the Turbo Yeast.
4. Let ferment at room temperature, between 20 and 30 °C (68 to 86 °F), for 2 to 7 days. It is important to note that for pure fermentation, the air temperature should not exceed 30°C (86°F).
Below, we provide you with the recommended amounts of sugar and yeast for different volumes of liquid:
