Perfume makes a beautiful gift because it is personal. That is exactly why it is also risky – a scent you love will not always be loved by the recipient. Here is how to reduce the guesswork.
1. Find out what they already wear
The best hint is their current perfume. If you know its name, or at least whether it is fresh, sweet or warm, choose a scent from the same fragrance family. Many of our perfumes state in the description which well-known fragrance they resemble – this helps you find your way.
2. If you do not know – choose safe families
- For her: floral or gently sweet scents.
- For him: woody or fresh scents.
- For a colleague or acquaintance – a lighter, unisex scent.
3. Add a tester
Together with the full bottle you can add a tester of another scent. If the main perfume is not a hit, the recipient can try something else – and choose for themselves next time. You will find testers under Minis and testers.
4. If you are still unsure – a gift card
A gift card lets the recipient choose – perfume, body care or home fragrances.
