The baobab tree is a tropical tree belonging to the family Bombacaceae, which grows wild in Africa, Australia and Madagascar. It is called the magic tree, the apothecary tree and the tree of life by Africans; the name ‘Baobab’ is probably derived from the Arabic BUHIBAB (fruit with many seeds). BURNS ON THE SKINBurns and scalds: whether caused by improper exposure to sunlight or by burns of varying degrees, it helps to relieve discomfort.
- Red stretch marks: these are scars and therefore cannot be removed by conventional beauty treatments. However, when they are still red (so in their early stages), baobab oil helps to reduce their appearance by preventing them from turning white. It is also useful during pregnancy and breastfeeding to prevent stretch marks and tears on the breasts.
- Acne: This is an excellent natural remedy for acne. It helps to reduce inflammation, relieve discomfort and prevent further progression.
- Psoriasis: relieves itching and helps reduce inflammation.
- Mycosis: fights fungal infections of the skin, helping to resolve diseases such as ringworm, ringworm, pityriasis and nail mycosis.
- Anti-ageing: a key antioxidant, it protects against free radicals and counteracts the signs of ageing. Also ideal for dry skin. Contraction: suitable for toning and relaxing massages to relieve muscle pain and muscle contractures.
