Coconut oil is obtained by cold-pressing the flesh of coconuts. At room temperature, coconut oil has a characteristic hard, butter-like consistency; above 20° it appears as an oily liquid. This characteristic is important for storage and use: in summer it can be put in a bottle and taken out with a dropper; in winter the container needs to be heated in a bain-marie or transferred to a larger, sterilised container with a lid and then removed with a spoon. The skin becomes more beautiful, supple and soft. Perfect as a make-up remover for the face or as a moisturiser after a shower.
